We need someone who wants to make on-device ML even faster. No cloud, no latency, no privacy compromises. If you care about pushing what's possible with consumer hardware, this is it.

The job

Improve our speech recognition models: accuracy, speed, language support
Make models run faster on Apple Silicon. Every millisecond matters.
Research what's new in speech recognition and figure out what we can use
Work with the team to ship models to real users

Requirements

2+ years working on ML, ideally speech or audio
You know PyTorch or TensorFlow well
You've deployed models in production, not just trained them
You can read a paper and implement what matters

Bonus

CoreML, Metal, or Apple platform experience
You've trained or fine-tuned generative models
Open source contributions we can look at
